Hi there
Edgar181, did you even read the recent revision before deletion? References were all very relevant and there was absolutely no reason to delete this one again, it was perfectly fine as a stub. Old remove decisions should not carry over to a completely different article. Aethyta (talk) 16:18, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I read the recent version and compared it to the deleted version. The short text of the new article ("Nifoxipam (3-hydroxydesmethylflunitrazepam) is a benzodiazepine that is a metabolite of flunitrazepam and has been sold online as a designer drug") conveyed no information that the version discussed at AFD did not. -- Ed (Edgar181) 16:24, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Also contained stuff like correct pubchem/chemspider/CAS number - this substance exists, it has been regocnized by various government organizations and it has been described in literature. After reading Wikipedia:Notability I see no reason why this one should be removed. Aethyta (talk) 16:39, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have no doubt that it exists and can be identified in various chemical databases. The issue is that there are millions of chemical compounds (literally) that would fit the criteria that it exists, has been recognized by various government organizations, and has been described in literature. As reflected in the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nifoxipam, the consensus is that more substantial coverage is needed to warrant an independent Wikipedia article. It is likely that quite a few of Wikipedia's articles about minor recreational drugs would not survive AFD if they were ever nominated. -- Ed (Edgar181) 18:30, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
