Purged during the Cultural Revolution?
[edit]The article on Wang Bingzhang (general) says:
'Wang avoided serious repercussions, likely due to the protection by the pro-establishment New 15 September Group and by Marshall Nie Rongzhen, director of the Science and Technology Commission of the National Defense Ministry (NDSTC). ...
After Nie himself was purged in 1968, Mao Zedong appointed Wang as the acting director of the NDSTC.'
It's strange that this article doesn't mention such a fact and instead says vaguely that 'his role was complex'. If the claim is correct, it should be added here; if it is incorrect, then the other article needs to be corrected. 62.73.72.3 (talk) 20:55, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
