Revisions
[edit]In general, this article reads more like a summary of the current state of the research on this beetle as opposed to just including factual information like a Wikipedia article should. A lot of redundant phrasing and too many big chunks of text (guidelines recommend small chunks of text 200-600 words). I cleaned up a lot of the grammar/syntax mistakes and broke up the large chunks of text, but I think this article needs serious revisions. Each major section should not be based off of findings and what they may indicate about this species' behavior, but rather findings that have been more definitively established Hipper2305 (talk) 22:44, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]I find that this article relies too much on summarizing scientific articles instead of taking the key findings and reformatting them into an encyclopedia entry. I found that the parental care section is a prime example of excessive article summarizing. This section spends too many words explaining the experimental set up of a scientific study instead of directly stating the facts that relate to parental care. I went ahead of got rid of most of the unnecessary details and tried to consolidate the section. You will have to add in more content to fill out this section. Another section that relies too much on summarizing scientific experiments is the “Social Rank and Hierarchy” section. I consolidated this section as well. That being said, you have a lot of good content on this page. You clearly have a lot of scholarly information about this beetle. All you need to do now is remove the fluff and you have a strong, informative article. Oroblancos (talk) 01:37, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]In general, my efforts were focused on ensuring that the article modifications were transparent and clear. So, In this Wikipedia entry I provide comprehensive elucidations of the alterations implemented in the N.nepalensis article, with specific emphasis on the improved segments such as "Habitat," "Resources and Environmental Conditions," and "Enemies." In the "Habitat" section, I emphasized the species' adaptability to diverse environmental conditions beyond traditional mountainous regions, highlighting its ecological significance in nutrient cycling and decomposition processes across varied landscapes. Additionally, I elaborated on the complex interactions between changing environmental variables and the species' life cycle in the "Resources and Environmental Conditions" paragraph, aiming to deepen readers' understanding of its ecological dynamics and conservation implications. Moreover, I elucidated on recent research findings regarding competitive exclusion involving the tiny Indian mongoose in the "Enemies" section, emphasizing its impact on population dynamics and ecosystem stability.
