Created article
[edit]This article incorporates material from this version of the article on his father, Alexandre. I created it because the son was also perhaps the most celebrated set designer of his time, and I thought he deserved an article of his own.
His birth name was Nikolai, but I named the article Nicola 1) to avoid confusion with his famous grandfather, who was also named Nikolai, and 2) because Nicola seems to be the name he was known by during his career at La Scala. It might be the name he used when he became an Italian citizen. If this article survives I will add redirects to Nicolai Alexandrovich Benois and Nicolai A. Benois.
The cites to The Telegraph and Opera Now look fairly ephemeral, so I registered the The Telegraph page at Wayback Machine, and checked the Opera Now cite (already registered). Margin1522 (talk) 02:26, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
