Lovers?
[edit]I don't believe it was spelled out that they were lovers (perhaps hinted)... it could also be that she was somehow involved in his training. I did see a flash of blond hair on one of the flash backs of his training... that could be her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rudy635 (talk • contribs) 15:33, August 6, 2007 (CDT)
- It's possible that she is sympathetic with Bourne because of Marie's death. 65.173.1.36 23:13, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I doubt it. She was involved in Treadstone for three years. He probably had years of training in fighting, firearms, ect. after the initial process, shown in The Bourne Ultimatum, of breaking his will. He probably didn't even know her until he graduated to assassin. I would love, however, to see her role as mental health supervisor explored in more detail in the next movie. She was the one charged with monitoring Bourne' sanity up until he suffered his breakdown in Marseille. Did she miss something? Did she see signs that he was going to snap, but Conklin ignored her warnings? What happened? How does the relationship they all but confirmed existed, factor into her observations as his psychiatrist (Stiles said in an interview in The Bourne Ultimatum DVD that Parsons handled the agents' medications, meaning she is a psychiatrist rather than psychologist)?
- To me it is quite clear that she had been, and still appears to be, in love with him - and that's why it had been so difficult for her to meet him again after his amnesia. Her feelings for him are made even clearer during the tender moment they share after escaping the kill attempt. Whether they had been lovers previously, or her feelings had never been returned, is what is unclear. 124.168.34.245 (talk) 14:13, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion
[edit]So while this page obviously needs to be looked at, it could at least be considered a stub. By stub standards. - Hairchrm 02:55, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- There's just not enough information in the movies to fill an entire article. They aren't supposed to stay stubs forever. It would be better as a list of Jason Bourne characters, not individual articles. ColdFusion650 11:40, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Why don't you wait and see? Have you read all five Bourne books, seen all four movies and played the video game? Speedy delete is for obvious deletions, not because you want to bypass normal deletion procedures. --MarsRover 15:26, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- The character is in only three movies and none of the books. The video game is not out. It's obvious that this deserves to be part of a larger article, not its own. If for some reason, a vast amount of knowledge on the character comes out later, it can split on its own then. The speedy deletion criteria I used was an article where there is not enough context to ever be its own article, and this fits. Please don't remove the speedy deletion tag, as only an administrator can do that. ColdFusion650 16:07, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

- Sorry, but WP:CSD#A1 is a stretch in my opinion. The article is indeed short and somewhat in-universe, but I do not believe it meets any of the speedy criteria. Please feel free to redirect it to a list of Bourne characters or send it to WP:AFD. Best, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 16:20, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
I have plans to add more to this article, hopefully within the next day or two, if my time allows it. So there should be more soon, but if not, feel free to dislike me. Packerfansam 7 August 2007
- I don't dislike you. It's natural to want to create an article. It just happens that in the films, there is not enough information to make an article on this topic. I've seen all the movies, and the current paragraph is pretty much everything. And a paragraph an article does not make. ColdFusion650 20:20, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree. I think there's enough information in the movies to create an article about her. It wouldn't be as extensive as Bourne's, but it would be worth having. Her role in Identity could be explained, her expanded role in Supremacy, her responsibilities as logistics coordinator and mental health supervisor, the side effects of training that she witnessed (headaches, compulsive behavior, depression, etc.) how long she did the job (three years) and why she left (Treadstone shut down), living in Amsterdam after Treadstone, being called back to help capture Bourne, how her understanding of his psychology helped them, the interrogation by Bourne, the motivation behind helping him in Ultimatum (gratitude for him sparing her life in Supremacy, as Greengrass discussed on the DVD, as well as their prior relationship), her possible romantic relationship with Bourne before his amnesia, a breakdown of her part in the Desh chase, starting her own life on the run, apparently returning to the US (given the American broadcast in the coffee shop, and the fact that most if not all of the chatter around her was in English), and finally, her knowing that Bourne is alive. I'm sure I could think of more, but I think that's pretty good for starters.
Page Created
[edit]Just as I suspected: plenty of information to create a page for Parsons. ;) Check it out here: Nicky Parsons. I still can't figure out how to post pictures, though... ~Tori
I'm confused, I thought it was decided this character didn't need a page. Why does she have one? Especially when Marie doesn't, and she was featured in the books as well. - Janitor15 (talk) 04:06, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
