[edit]what is an anzyme? An enzyme is typically a protein that allows certain bio molecular reactions but I am unaware of what an anzyme is or why the Nicking Enzyme Amplification Reaction (NEAR) was changed to Nicking Anzyme Amplification Reaction (NAAR)?
Advantages over standard PCR?
[edit]Not being a specialist, would like people who know more to comment on comparison with PCR. 217.144.100.18 (talk) 14:51, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
As an expert in the field, I find this page not only useless, but highly inaccurate. The US Patent citation that was added has absolutely no relevance. The listed disadvantages and advantages of PCR and "NEAR" are subjective, biased, uninformative, and unreferenced. The page needs a complete rewrite by someone who knows the field.
