Birth date
[edit]Removed this from article 9 Oct 06:
i'm the real nick ross and i was born in march 7th. thanks
Unsure whether this is vandalism, or perhaps the correct birth date, does anyone know? Escaper7 10:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
I think the real Nick Ross would have better punctuation and grammar ("in march 7th"). Also both IMDB and a handful of other sites (including www.speakers-uk.com which appears to have an official bio) state that he was born on August 7th (as per this Wikipedia entry).
QUB and Seamus Heaney
[edit]If Ross studied psychology and Heaney taught modern English literature (as stated on his page and known by myself as an admirer of his work and a literature student), how was Heaney ever his lecturer unless he studied a joint honours course or similar and thus could take courses from either programme? If the only connection is that Heaney was teaching at the university while Ross was a student there, is that really worthy of an enyclopedia? PamukSoundystem (talk) 00:09, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
The answer is that Ross studied English as a subsidiary subject (along with Philosophy) and Seamus Heaney was his tutor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.48.170.35 (talk) 22:27, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
The Truth
[edit]When is the truth about this man going to be told? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.60.173 (talk) 21:12, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Kidney
[edit]I seem to recall reading that nick as one kidney - may be worth referencing since he's a patron of a related charitable organization. Indieshack (talk) 12:47, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
Hagiography
[edit]Did Nick write this himself or his agent? A little too fawning for Wiki, methinks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.159.219.125 (talk) 10:17, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Glad you have beaten me to it! I was going to start a hagiography section after reading this account of his incredible value to humanity. Ranging from politely declined opportunities to emphasise his modesty to his brilliance in the sale of his house in 2012 for almost 40 times the price he paid for it.
- Another remarkable phrase "...At one stage in the 1990s he was often doing three mainstream live programmes a day..." as well as being on a plethora of committees and having an inordinate number of philanthropic "involvements." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.147.78.49 (talk) 12:09, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
