Citation requests

The 2009 3M Teaching Award citation has been added.

I'm about to restore the five citation requests which were removed in the previous edit:

1. The request for a citation in support of Bontis receiving the University of Western Ontario's top scholastic achievement award, was removed. No citation was provided.
2. The reference provided in support of the statement that Bontis' doctoral dissertation became the number one selling thesis in Canada is a press release issued by Metamedia (on whose editorial board Bontis sits). The references fails WP:SOURCES.
3. A page for Speakers.ca is provided to support the statement "Bontis is recognized as one of Canada's top professional speakers". The page makes no such claim. In any case, the reference fails WP:SOURCES
4. A page at NickBontis.com is cited in suport of the statement that the subject's consulting services have been sought after by leading organizations such as the United Nations, Microsoft, Health Canada, Royal Bank, Telus, Accenture, the US Navy and IBM. The references fails WP:SOURCES.
5. The citation provided for the quote from Tom Stewart contains no quotation. Victoriagirl (talk) 18:58, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

This article still looks like an ad

This article needs to get some heavy rewriting, not to mention lack of independent sourcing. The problem is mostly on "Business" and "Media" sections. MarioJump83 (talk) 12:53, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

I have done rewriting the article myself. @Ganesha811: should books section that I removed earlier be brought back as a proof of academic career? In that case, Authority control is added too. Also, it is safe to add the website link? Given that his website is prominent in the Google searches.MarioJump83 (talk) 14:02, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

If there's anything considered to be edited next, Charmaine Crooks (Bontis's successor as the CSA president) seems to be quite problematic due to lack of sourcing and slight peacock, weasel toning. MarioJump83 (talk) 14:42, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

Reorder headings

This article requires a reordering of the headings and corresponding content to align with the individual's notareity to make the article valid and accurate. First and foremost, the subject is a tenured professor at a reputable university in Canada. The article correctly (and independently) cites the individual's national (i.e., Top 10 business professor in Canada by Research.com) and international stature (i.e., 47,000+ citations by Google Scholar). Furthermore, the subject has been an academic for over two and a half decades (i.e., his PhD was earned in 1999). This is an important distinction since it conflicts with the article version 00:39, 7 February 2024‎. That version contains three headings "Playing Career", "Executive Career", and "Personal Life". These headings incorrectly assume the nature of the subject's notareity and should be corrected. The article version 00:39, 7 February 2024 should not lead with "Playing Career" as the individual never played soccer for a national team not did the subject have a prolonged professional career in a top league. Second, the heading "Executive Career" is also mislabelled. The individual has volunteered for several soccer organizations. The section on "Personal Life" is not necessary. The article has been edited and reconfigured to align with the individual's notareity. The new headings are "Academic", "Keynote Speaker", and "Sports Management Executive". These headings correlate directly with the individual's professional career and correspond to the notareity and length of period he was involved (or continues to be involved with) in each area. These are not independent, secondary sources - they are businesses which sell Mr. Bontis' talks as a product. While Mr. Bontis may indeed be a keynote speaker, is that a notable part of his biography? Has a newspaper or book ever described him as a keynote speaker? —Ganesha811 (talk) 17:41, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

This is a reply to Ganesha811. Respectfully, there is ample independent evidence online that Bontis is a keynote speaker. Even if you disregard the agency's that represent him, there are several news links and presss articles from clients that describe his keynote presentations:
