Source doesn't say what Wikipedia author says it says
[edit]As of the time I'm typing this, the source for Carly Simon not confirming that the apricot scarf (mentioned in her recording of her own song "You're So Vain") was worn by Nicholas Delbanco (the subject of this Wikipedia article) doesn't say any such thing. I followed the link and what I read there is Carly Simon confirming that the apricot scarf was worn by Nicholas Delbanco, WHICH IS WHAT IT SAYS IN WIKIPEDIA'S ARTICLE ON "YOU'RE SO VAIN" when it cites this same quote! (The last name is not overtly orated in the quote, but the [Delbanco] in the quote means that the context of the entire interview means that a reference to just "Nick" is a reference to Nick Delbanco. Once again, Wikipedia can't be bothered to be consistent with itself, and its official rules preclude regarding that as a fault or deficiency. (If you refer to some other Wikipedia article to rebut something another Wikipedia article says, you will be told that you can't use Wikipedia as a source for Wikipedia.)2600:1700:6759:B000:A9AB:FD17:BD3E:4AEE (talk) 04:54, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Christopher Lawrence Simpson
