Merge from Ngaatjatjarra language
[edit]- There's a discrepency in the number of speakers, 200 vs. 500... is there a reference for either of those numbers? Phydeaux 00:36, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- The number of speakers is about 500. This is from my own fieldwork among the Ngaatjatjarra. Exact number is difficult to state, but 200 is far too low. 500 is about right from the genealogies I have collected. Dousset
- I have modified the number of speakers in Ngaatjatjarra Language to 500. It would be good to merge these two articles, but use the heading Ngaatjatjarra alone (without the language). First because it is not a language but a dialect, second in order to be compatible with other headings for similar groups: Pitjantjatjara etc. Dousset --Laurent Dousset 07:39, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
