Requested move 4 June 2024

The result of the move request was: moot. Already moved as a result of the AfD. (closed by non-admin page mover) CycloneYoris talk! 20:58, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
2028 Tasmanian state election → Next Tasmanian state election – This page should be moved to the above as is convention on wikipedia for future eletions that have not been formally announced. The info on this page should remain, but it should be moved to the above. I reference the Next Australian federal election, where we are approaching it and lots of detail and candidates are already available, however it still remains at "Next" in the title. - Oppose: No policy based argument, such as WP:COMMONNAME has been provided in the move rational. WP:OTHERCONTENT is not a good argument. TarnishedPathtalk
- Comment, you're moving an article to a template? DankJae 23:43, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
- @DankJae: I assume this is an error and have corrected it. Number 57 21:19, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- Support per WP:NCELECT:
For future elections of uncertain date, use the format "Next [country name or adjectival form] [type] election(s)"
Number 57 21:19, 5 June 2024 (UTC)- Such articles should still have reliable secondary sourcing discussing said election(s). This article has zero. TarnishedPathtalk 14:02, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Support. This should've been moved as a result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2028 Tasmanian state election. But for some reason, the closing admin did not follow through, possibly because of this move discussion (which was opened before the closing of the AfD).- Procedural close since the AfD was reopened, and there's no point in having two separate discussions.
