Newton Cannon?
[edit]A Newton Cannon is a theoretical cannon that can fire at such a velocity that it would send its projectile into orbit.
If this isnt a hoax (That IS an odd name!), there is at least one article ('Orbit') which links here referencing the theoretical cannon. Saktoth (talk) 14:05, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- Newton cannon is definitely a real person. He was Governor of Tennessee from Oct 12, 1835 - Oct 14, 1839, check out this link from the National Governors Association: [1]. I agree it is an unusual name.--Fraulein451 (talk) 15:56, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
