I lack the Wikipedia chops to incorporate this into the article myself, but recently a study was done regarding the efficacy of using Newton's metal instead of Lipowitz's metal to shield organs during radiation therapy. Lipowitz's metal contains cadmium, which is toxic, while Newton's metal does not. The study, "Newton's metal as a new home-made shielding material", appears in the journal Radiation Effects and Defects in Solids, vol. 162, no. 1, pp. 53-57, published by Taylor & Francis in January of 2007. --Shadow (talk) 04:28, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
