New sections
[edit]Recommend adding these specific sections:
- thermoregulation (Newborns, for about the first 6 months, do not usually have the ability to thermoregulate body temperature to deal with cold or overly warm conditions, and so care must be taken when choosing clothing or swaddling, and maintaining a surrounding environment within an ideal range if possible.), and
- Breastfeeding (For the first six months of life, infants should not have soft or solid foods, and experts generally advise a preference first for breastfeeding; an alternative is a properly prepared infant formula. This section should also mention feeding frequency and probable volume of a healthy intake amounts, as well as cautions concerning failure to thrive.)
