Date of Committee Members shown
The date is 12 April ....; as it is not 1801 (as previously stated) I have taken the year out, but I do not know the year intended? Hugo999 11:15, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Re MPs, where is a good place/page to put what might be called trivia on MPs? Eg longest serving? (Rex Mason?), first NZ born etc? Hugo999 23:58, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:NZrepresentatives.jpg
Image:NZrepresentatives.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Select committees
This article does not mention how the select committees are appointed. Does the speaker do it?--Sir Anon (talk) 11:11, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Please update with 2008 election results
We've just had an election, and here are the results. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.105.142 (talk) 11:35, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- The results are still preliminary as there are 208,001 special votes left to count, which can take several weeks. As the new house of representatives will not be sworn in for a while yet I don't think we need to update this page just yet. We've had an election but the transition is not instant.--Anon 12:18, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Select Commitees
These select committee members are out of date – Martin Gallagher and Michael Cullen aren't even MPs anymore! Can someone update them, please? Adabow (talk) 22:01, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I'm to busy to do this at the moment, but all the required information is here [1] tshiels1 06:29, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Proposed merger with Parliament of New Zealand
Oppose: the House of Representatives surely merits its own article, while at least half of the material at Parliament of New Zealand would be out of place in this article. (Odd, by the way, how no one seems to have taken any notice of the proposed merger in nearly five months!) Moonraker2 (talk) 17:06, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Move from "House of Representatives of New Zealand" to "House of Representatives (New Zealand)"
I propose to revert this move from two reasons:
- This move was undertaken with no discussion, and with no explanation provided.
- "House of Representatives of New Zealand" is a phrase that can be correctly linked in an article without piping. The link "House of Representatives (New Zealand)" will always have to be piped to avoid awkward sentence structure.
