Present tense?

Most of this page sounds like it was written around the time the signing happened. EG "it is expected...in 2008", "the agreement has taken...", etc. The whole page needs an updating overhaul for this stuff plus any more recent news about the process. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.13.66.130 (talk) 21:09, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the first paragraph of the Agreements section and integrated that information with the lede (towards the end of the lede). I believe it is more appropriate there, and it also addresses some of the present-tense problems - for example, the lede still said "if ratified," when in actuality, the New Zealand parliament did indeed ratify the NZ-China FTA, so that was outdated. The rest of the present-tense in the article needs some improvement. I may tend to it if I find the time soon. John Shandy`talk 21:11, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
