Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted because NYUM is a legitimate and now large group among LGBT rights organizations. Therefore, there is serious potential for the development of this article in the near future, given that NYUM is not merely a "club" with no purpose or meaning. --Liberal92 (talk) 04:35, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the CSD tag. While its status as an organization is brand new, I don't believe that this necessarily qualifies for CSD status. It may be reasonable to redirect the article at this particular point in time to an existing article about one of the organizations mentioned within, for the time being, but that's a discussion for AfD, in my opinion. It's already been done, see the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_State_Pride_Agenda#History Liberal92 (talk) 04:44, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That is probably the best option, at the present time. I will redirect this article to there. At some point in the future, if NYUM garners enough third-party coverage of its own, I would encourage you to expand the article and remove the redirect.
