A while ago I stumbled upon the book "Beverages and their Adultration" on Google Bookx ( http://books.google.com/books?id=_Ii5DbQZ5HsC ). There are some good historical NY wine references in there, in the chapter (duh) "Wine". Hope it's usefull. EllePollack (talk) 19:28, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No mention in the article of Niagara Escarpment AVA (at least a link to the existing article is a start)? I know too little about the subject to attempt editing this, but this is an obvious omission.

Also, I see no mention of ice wines. Remember western New York and Finger Lakes wine making regions are not all that far from Canada and have a similar climate. See also:

"Ice wine is also increasingly putting New York's Finger Lakes region on the wine map: In the last three years, sales of ice wine made in that area, as well as on Long Island (which more recently jumped into the ice-wine-making fray) have more than doubled, according to Susan Wine, owner of Vintage New York."

I hope someone with the time and expertise can improve this article. 74.74.211.36 (talk) 22:18, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Growing Regions - Adironack Coast Wine trail

[edit]

"The Adirondack Coast Wine Trail is New York's newest wine region." - This statement is misleading. There is no such AVA by this name. The information provided isn't sourced, either. - Eddylyons (talk) 18:12, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
