GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
Try to avoid using "NY 23" in almost every sentence. The sentence "It maintains this elevation during a brief detour into Schoharie County, where the mountains to the south rise to heights over 3,000 feet (914 m)—still leaving them among the lesser Catskill peaks" sounds awkward. The sentences "A bridge over Schoharie Creek heralds the next community, the Prattsville hamlet of the same name" and "From here, NY 23 begins a long descent down the Catskill Escarpment, losing much of the elevation it has gained since Oneonta[14] and providing sweeping, panoramic views of the Capital District and points north, east and west." also needs to be reworded. How does the the NY 22 intersection herald the proximity of the state's eastern border?
    a) Several uses eliminated. The comment that NY 23 was in every sentence is a bit misleading; in a few paragraphs it was used only once or twice.
b and c) All three sentences slightly reworded. I kept the essence of the sentences as-is since I don't think they were that bad.
    d) Reworded. – TMF 08:39, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
The latter part of the sentence "Here, the land gets more forested and the amount of houses decrease as it crosses the least densely populated county in New York outside of the Adirondacks" cannot be sourced to Yahoo Maps, can another source be added here?
Removed. That was written by a previous editor, who may or may not have known that for a fact. – TMF 08:39, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Can some more details on the physical surroundings of NY 23 near the Hudson River be added to the article? In the major intersections, is it possible for a row to be added for the Rip Van Winkle Bridge?
    a) I looked over the RD, and I assume you specifically meant the part of 23 east of the Hudson. Regardless, I added a few bits to the part west of the river and substantially expanded the section east of the Hudson.
    b) Of course it's possible. I'm not a fan of specifying river crossings in junction lists, but I suppose the Hudson is notable enough to make an exception. – TMF 08:39, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
