Random players
[edit]Anyone know how the minor leaguers whose bios are listed on this page were chosen? They aren't considered by most to be among the better of the Mets prospects. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Metsguy234 (talk • contribs) 23:52, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Syndergaard Should Get Own Article?
[edit]I think it is time Syndergaard gets his own article. He is advancing through the minor leagues and is almost in the majors. He is significantly better then many other players on this page, and other Mets prospects of similar caliber have their own article (i.e.. Rafael Montero) Timo46 (talk) 00:12, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Amed Rosario
[edit]I'm making him his own page, he's significant enough, because of the bonus he was given. Leggomygreggo8 (talk) 21:35, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
Explanation for why I removed singled out prospects
[edit]This article is intended to be a list of Mets minor league players. It is not a list of top prospects, and even if it was, it wasn't doing a good job. I refer to this list of Mets top prospects from the MLB website. It would appear that the prospects on this page were randomly chosen from this list, with there being no reason for why some were chosen and some weren't. If someone would like to create List of Mets top prospects, that would be one thing, but let's not have one article do two things poorly as opposed to one thing well. --Puzzledvegetable|💬|📧|📜 19:35, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- Puzzledvegetable, the purpose of this page, and the 29 similar pages for the other MLB franchises, is to incubate articles that aren't ready to become articles. It's not about prospect status, which is subjective, it's about sourcing. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:38, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- There isn't a way to do this that doesn't involve 30 bad quality live articles? Can't this be managed by WikiProject Baseball as a series of drafts or the like? --Puzzledvegetable|💬|📧|📜 19:41, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- Puzzledvegetable, maybe it would be better to have them on draft space. this is what we came up with a number of years ago, but we could always revisit it. Maybe start a discussion about it on the project top page? – Muboshgu (talk) 19:50, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- Well, I started a discussion here. Let's see what happens. --Puzzledvegetable|💬|📧|📜 20:00, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
