Proposed move
[edit]Hey guys, excellent work with the article so far. Just one suggestion: Shouldn't we move this to Elmont Crossings, as that is the official name of the project? -- Fifty7 (talk) 21:45, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- That's the name of the whole proposal, with this stadium as the centerpiece... I think the stadium, being the most significant part of the proposal, should be the title of the article, and if warranted the project can be its own article. There's been precedence of that with Barclays Center and Atlantic Yards. --Darkhunger (talk) 02:46, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- Gotcha, makes sense! Gonna redirect Elmont Crossings and Elmont Town Crossings to here for now then. -- Fifty7 (talk) 08:42, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Location
[edit]For accuracy's sake, I'm removing the misleading "Queens Village (Queens, New York City)" from the location spot of the Infobox. Although very near the border with Queens, the Belmont Park article makes clear that the racetrack complex (in which the stadium would be built) is within Nassau County. Wikipedia Worthy
[edit]I was just checking out MLS soccer specific stadiums and this one is such a pipe dream I'm not sure it qualifies as encyclopedic.--MattyMetalFan (talk) 02:39, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- I sorta agree. At the very least, the article needs to be updated to reflect that over a year has passed and there's absolutely no movement on this, and unlikely to be any. Sorry Cosmos fans, but the city is more focused on NYCFC, and rightly so, as it's actually a team that draws fans and isn't a minor league club. oknazevad (talk) 15:07, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
