Merging "Witten" w "New Witten" (this article)
[edit]An anomaly exists in Tripp County SD. The Census Bureau has picked up the name of this community as "New Witten", although the Post Office is named "Witten", and its ZIP code comes up as "Witten". This confusion had seeped into Wikipedia, which had separate articles on the two names. However, the geographic coordinates were missing on the "Witten" WP article, so it could not be compared to the New Witten article - it could have been two different communities in two different locations. However, they are the same place. Therefore this day I converted the "Witten" WP page to a redirect, sending readers here, where an explanation can be offered.--Spray787 (talk) 03:44, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
