Map and work needed
[edit]A map and citations are definitely needed. I think this relies upon a census designation, whereas the river valley actually is in several states, including North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.Jweaver28 (talk) 15:30, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

- I have removed an outdated web link, which is now for sale, and although I was in a hurry and could not format them well, added two references to the current promotional site by the five municipalities involved , and a website that mentions their campaign won a regional award for marketing. I also tried editing the page to make it clear that the NRV "brand" is not the same as the actual geological River Valley .. local TV weather and traffic announcers seem to use the phrase to mean just those communities, not the more southern counties in the actual river valley, which I have mentioned without any specific citation. I suspect the original version of this page was part of the promotional campaign .. for instance, it had no reference to the Radford Arsenal, which is not exactly a tourist destination, but is a prominent feature of the river valley with its own Isthmus into the river and intermittent controversies about air or water pollution. I mentioned the Arsenal with a link to its own Wikipedia page Bstepno (talk) 20:38, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
