[edit]There is an error in this article, as minor league baseball did not return to Louisville until 1982.
Did the team go to Illinois first, then to Louisville?
Needs to be Moved Soon
[edit]To state the obvious, as soon as the NBA season is over this year, this will need to move for the newly named New Orleans Pelicans. Srsrox (talk) 18:43, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- I agree. How do you think we should approach this dilemma, though? DrAndrewWinters (talk) 16:09, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- Move it to New Orleans Pelicans (baseball) once the season is over. It's the same type page used for Charlotte Hornets (baseball) 108.250.205.112 (talk) 22:11, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- You know what? I dare say we should at least move THIS page to New Orleans Pelicans (baseball) already. The most common usage now of the "New Orleans Pelicans" is the basketball team New Orleans Hornets. We should move the baseball team NOW and have this page as a redirect to the Hornets until the NBA season is over. THEN move the basketball team here. That's my suggestion. New Orleans Pelicans → New Orleans Pelicans (baseball) – This is also a request to have a new page titled "New Orleans Pelicans" that will redirect to the New Orleans Hornets until the 2012–13 NBA season ends.
The name "New Orleans Pelicans" is now most commonly known as the current NBA team New Orleans Hornets. This is because the NBA's team's name will be changing its name to the "New Orleans Pelicans" after the NBA season ends this year. Therefore, I request this move because of WP:COMMONNAME for the NBA team. This page would redirect to the Hornets' page until the NBA season is over.
Just by Google search and sports buzz alone (ESPN), you can see that the "New Orleans Pelicans" name is now most commonly known as the future NBA team, not the past baseball team. Srsrox (talk) 23:53, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- It seems that this was already done. There's no objection. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:51, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- It was already moved. Can someone please close this properly? Srsrox (talk) 20:49, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
