Comments:
- I suggest that the article be moved to County Route 50 (Ocean County, New Jersey) as it appears to describe the routing of this route back when it was Route 180. The Route 180 designation can be mentioned in the History section and the prose describing the route in the route description and the lead can be changed to the present tense to describe the route as it is today.
- Try to get a map of the route for the infobox
- Change "bypassed Route 72 off its alignment" to "built a bypass for Route 72"
- In the route description, it is redundant to mention the route is a former alignment of Route 72
- "providing as CR 20's northern terminus" sounds awkward
- "provided with the southern terminus of County Route 14 (Hillard Boulevard)" also sounds awkward
- Try to add more descriptive information about what kind of environment the route passes through. Does it pass through residential areas, woodland, farmland?
- "New Jersey State Highway Route S-40" should not be in bold as that term redirects to the Route 72 article
- Indicate that Rotue 40 is Route 70 and add a wikilink to New Jersey Route 70
- Fix redlink, it should be to Intracoastal Waterway
- In history, again indicate route was traded for control of Route 35 south of Seaside Heights
- Is the See also section nessecary? It provides a list to unrelated routes.
- If possible, try to get a picture of the route for the article
I am placing the article on hold Dough4872 (talk) 01:03, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Done for everything but 1 & 7. #1 I refuse to do per many many precedents, #7 is unnecessary on the condition of that this a decommissioned highway, not a present highway.Mitch32(Go Syracuse) 19:37, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I see your point. However, I feel the information can be well-presented in a County Route 50 article that contains information about the Route 180 designation in the history section, with the browse for Route 180 in the County Route 50 infobox. I think it is a better idea to have a GA about a current county route describing its current routing and former designations than about a former route that defers to describe much about it as it is today. It is okay to have a GA about a county route that was formerly a state highway, such as with County Route 574 (Erie County, New York), where NY 422 redirects there. - Still disagree. CR 574 is because NY 422 would be even shorter than this, because I tried that first. And it looks ridiculous when you write about a CR that ends at a dead-end ;) - Please, let NJ 180 stay as it is. It is not worth arguing about.Mitch32(Go Syracuse) 22:59, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
