-John Hamm may have been born in New Glasgow, but has made his home in Stellarton for at least 20 years, if not much longer. Mike Smith is from Thorburn, a small community closer to the Plymouth/Stellarton area than to New Glasgow. My complaint with this article is that many of these notable persons are from other towns in the Pictou County area and it is incorrect to place them in an article exclusively about New Glasgow. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.238.34 (talk) 19:15, 16 April 2006

[edit]Removed majority of persons listed as 'Notable Residents' The majority (if not all) were simply born in New Glasgow and are not current residents, many are not even former residents. If you have an issue with this look up the meaning of 'resident' it does not refer to someone who spent 3 days of their life in a certain town. Verified notables will be moved to the People from Pictou County page instead.Hackah (talk) 18:11, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Further note, this article needs significant revision in order to discuss topics related to New Glasgow only. Many issues and details pertain to the County as a whole and not New Glasgow exclusively. I will be removing these details and adding them to the Pictou County article instead.Hackah (talk) 18:14, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Priestville
[edit]Priestville is falsly included as a part of new glasgow in this article, as most know it is in fact part of the county it is just outside of town limits Loganclyburne (talk --Loganclyburne (talk) 01:39, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

George Street Bridge is not the correct name.
[edit]Although it is commonly refered to as the Geroge Street Bridge, the bridge across the East River at George St is actually the Kempt Bridge, named for Kempt St (now Riverside Parkway). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.65.14.229 (talk) 19:13, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
