I am not adding myself; I am adding a notable member of my graduating class. Relax.
1. Articles should contain only material that has been published by reputable sources.
2. Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reputable source, or it may be removed by any editor.
3. The obligation to provide a reputable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it.
Made some updates to the alumni section. Found out, after a little research, that Ann Coulter was NCHS class of 1980.
need a citation on the percentage of students going to 4 year universities.
Athletics
[edit]Please make sure to provide references for any team achievements or notable coaches that you add to the article. Please also let's try to avoid turning the athletics section into a soapbox about who was the best ex-coach. JCutter | talk to me | 06:09, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Notable faculty
[edit]Regarding Aaron Gallo, how is being a pitcher at a regional university make him notable? I could only find that he played one season in the minor leagues. [1]. I mean no offense to Mr. Gallo, but that is not enough to pass Wikipedia:Notability (academics) or WP:NBASE. I will not revert the addition until at least 48 hours have passed so that other editors can reply and/or find other sources. Thanks, Markvs88 (talk) 15:55, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- I would think that an interview on him would at least make him notable for a mention here. I see your point, but there's no notability guidelines that I'm aware of which would prevent his name from being mentioned here. I've done research on several schools in the northeast and haven't found any staff members that fit this criteria so I don't see any precedents that would help facilitate the discussion. He did sign with a minor league team. Redditaddict69 (talk) (contribs) 18:06, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Hello Redditaddict69. I appreciate your seeing my point, and improving the citations. The Forbes one is fine now. However, Mr. Gallo still doesn't fit WP:NBASE which is what he is notable for as it is written. While the source is good... the record is for a school record of hit batsmen at his college, which beyond not exactly being a good thing doesn't make him notable for New Canaan High. I did find a couple examples of that: Kent and Hotchkiss School but you're right, it's not a common section. I really don't think it belongs here... if those citations were used to make an article on him, it would be deleted for failing general notability...
