Was LCR really bigger than LO?
[edit]The article implies the LCR was bigger than LO. Technically on membership this will be true, but LO is much much stricter on membership criteria. Many LCR members would be just supporters/contacts for the LO. 129.67.160.30 (talk) 22:57, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know whether it was "bigger" (I don't think so), but it was stronger in terms of political influence. This is probably what is meant here... --Ian fr (talk) 11:19, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Democratic socialist
[edit]The party expressly states its commitment to democratic (indeed participatory democratic) politics, so it needs to be classified as a democratic socialist party. It also expressly states it does not argue for nor against revolution or reform, so it cannot be described as a "revolutionary socialist" organisation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.136.106.161 (talk) 03:28, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Although this question will be decided next week at the conference (where I will be a delegate), what you say is not accurate. The latest draft of the "founding principles" calls for "social revolution" and there is little doubt that this will be passed. However, of course, for most NPA people, like myself, "revolutionary" and "democratic" are absolutely not incompatible. Johncmullen1960 (talk) 09:04, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Language policy
[edit]What is their language policy? I couldn't find anything on their site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.129.232.136 (talk) 23:19, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I can't quite remember, but I think there was a sentence about defending the rights of minority languages passed into one of the documents. The final versions of the four documents should be on the official web site in a few days Johncmullen1960 (talk) 13:39, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
slogans
[edit]I wasn't quite sure how to deal with the sentence "muslim supporters of the NPA were noted to shout slogans with islamic connotations". This is simply untrue, and the reference does not say this. Johncmullen1960 (talk) 16:32, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
