Nueva Andalucia

[edit]

Added some redirects from the Spanish name (w/ and w/o accent.) Also added references to the other Nueva Andalucia on the Rio de la Plata. If someone able to speak Spanish could add more information after I'm through, that'd be great. -LlywelynII (talk) 05:06, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On further examination

[edit]

It appears they were different administrative divisions - one was a governorate (a territory administered by a governor but called neither a state nor a province - the Spanish is gobernación) and one was a province. For the purposes of cross-lingual cross-referencing, it might be better to split the article into The Governorate of New Andalusia and The Province of New Andalusia with New Andalusia being a disambiguation; on the other hand, it's a rather obscure topic. Thoughts?

Also, the horde of stubs are unsightly, but they might direct attention to the article so I don't want to delete them. Is it good form to move them to the talk page? -LlywelynII (talk) 05:58, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
