[edit]The New Age Steppers' first album was the first LP to be released on On-U Sound, and as such is an important landmark for the label, and a seminal work in dub reggae. Several of its musicians went on to be famous in their own right, including Bim Sherman and Neneh Cherry. It is also of historical note as it ties together the family history of On-U sound.
I suspect the only reason why this page hasn't been added before is just that its about a band over 25 years ago, which is why I added it before it dropped out of the public consciousness.
Cheers.

- I have removed the speedy deletion tags on the grounds that this group has notable members (WP:MUSIC criteria 6), who have their own Wikipedia articles already. Additionally, the group has released two or more discs on a label notable enough to have a Wikipedia article, On-U Sound, meeting WP:MUSIC criteria 5. As CSD A7 is only for articles that don't even claim to be notable, deletion under A7 here would be inappropriate. Hence, the non-admin decline of speedy deletion. ⇔ ∫ÆS dt @ 06:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
