By what unit of measure is a neutron surplus or deficit measured. What happens to the protons ? Reactivity...used to mean interaction of an element with another element or molecule, not something that happens in pure isolation. This out of balance Reactivity sounds like junk. In the old days Critical / Supercritical refered to amounts of heat / temperature the reactor is coping with. Neutron surplus/deficits sounds silly, but I'm dealing with a high school education in the 1970s
