Finished up the mathematical proof that the neutral axis lies on the centroid of a symmetric beam. The proof is enough to increase the class to a "start" class and boost its importance to medium.--Markozeta (talk) 17:58, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
NA with respect to sheet metal
[edit]In sheet metal the neutral axis is defined as the axis that doesn't exhibit a change in length upon bending. As the definition is currently written, this is excluded, so can it be redefined in such a way that this is included? Wizard191 (talk) 19:17, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
