I cannot find anything in the Manual of Style which states that "latin" should be uncapitalized; I have only found a usage of "Latin", and "English" is consistently capitalized.

Surely, for the sake of consistency, it should be "Latin" here? All the grammar texts I have available advise the capitalization of such nouns. -- Carrie Albright (talk) 15:27, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
