Recent coverage
[edit]- There's an article in Vice from 2015, in Spanish, but still: [1]
- There now seems to be plenty of videos and photos of Grover Boydston. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]. I had searched for those years ago when I first start research Emotions Anonymous and Neurotics Anonymous and didn't find any. There's also a large number of Neurotics Anonymous videos on YouTube posted since around 2014. - Scarpy (talk) 18:15, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
- This shows up in Google Books now [10] - Scarpy (talk) 06:43, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
- Got a copy of this and added in a section "Parallel organization." Turns out it's not related to the larger Neurotics Anoynmous groups. - Scarpy (talk) 20:20, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Incorrect citation found in the literature
[edit]On the off chance that someone else is researching the topic and sees this, there's a citation to a the book Drug Addiction in Youth appearing in Treatment and Rehabilitation of the Chronic Alcoholic on page 535 and on that pages cites a chapter title in from Drug Addiction in Youth as "A short history of Neurotics Anonymous." If you obtain a copy of the 1963 (or 1968 edition, which I believe is the same) of Drug Addiction in Youth, and look on pages 148-157 (as cited) the chapter is actually called "Our Way of Life: A Short History of Narcotics Anonymous, Inc." which may make for some excellent material for the Narcotics Anonymous article, but I was disappointed that it wasn't on Neurotics Anonymous. - Scarpy (talk) 22:43, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
Logo removal
[edit]@Improvingwikitoday: you say Took away the logo of neuróticos anónimos buena voluntad. This is not the original organization, the original organizations logo is green. This is a breakaway group from the original organization and from my personal experience and what I've heard from others instead of having a democracy they have more or less a tyranny. They should have never actually used the name neurotics anonymous!
Wikipedia can't work on hearsay. I'd imagine there's truth to what you're saying, but if you wanted to argue that this is entirely a different fellowship, we'll need more sources to support this. - Scarpy (talk) 02:56, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
@Improvingwikitoday: please stop reverting without sources for this claim. - Scarpy (talk) 23:54, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- It's a different organization that's why it has a different logo.
- The other logo is for neurotics anonymous movimiento buena voluntad.
- It has a different name and a different logo.
- They even have different websites. I'm not sure why you insist on having that logo there, if you can see clearly that there's another logo at the top which is different and is the original one.
- I was living in LA before but now I'm living in Oaxaca, so I've been able to experience the difference in the organizations first hand. Improvingwikitoday (talk) 16:28, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- Most twelve step fellowships have different websites by country, state or city. Mexico City has mexicocityaa.com but that doesn’t make them unaffiliated with AA. The claim you’re making here is that Neurotics Anonymous in one area is the true Neurotics Anonymous and that one in another area is not. I notice when you do this you also only remove the logo for some reason, but keep all of the text. Similarly, you could add text explaining this distinction, but thus far have not. If you want to have Wikipedia reflect whatever distance you believe there is here, you’ll want to find WP:RS documenting this and add it to the article. We can’t cite anecdotes and can’t remove thing just because one person thinks we should. - Scarpy (talk) 04:23, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
