Font issue
[edit]Hi, I was just wondering why the font for "Mata Sugu Aō Ne" is so markedly different from the fonts used throughout the rest of the article. I understand that this is because of the lang template and I understand that that template is necessary, but it just looks like an eyesore, and that font does not show up (at least for me) in other Eurovision-related non-English-language songs (such as "Zitti E Buoni" or "Vidkryvai"). Is this perhaps a Japanese-specific issue? It is a very small thing but it really bugs me and doesn't look good with the rest of the article, so I was wondering if there is any way it can be fixed. - I think this is a browser-dependent thing, since it does not display a different font to me. (Looking at the HTML there's no custom styles, just the lang tag.) However, for me, if I change the language code to
ja
instead ofja-Latn
it does show a different font for me. According to Template:Lang/doc#Rationale the font is to properly display Japanese characters, but theLatn
prefix should indicate that these are no Japanese characters. I don't know if there's a way to fix this other than removing the template. I think this issue should be raised at Template talk:Lang. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 11:47, 5 July 2021 (UTC)- Oh the issue has already been raised, although it got only one response. - I see, thank you for the response! I checked out the discussion, and I do in fact use Safari, so that makes sense. Once again, thank you for the very quick reply! Granfcanuon (talk) 12:48, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
