Medalists section

[edit]

I have moved the medalist section down again, it is the most logical order of sections: first the results per sport and then the medalists as a summary. The infobox already shows the medal count at the top of the article, so the medalists section doesn't need to be at the top of the article as well. – Editør (talk) 16:09, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I am not sure whether the dignitaries and national house sections should have the prominent place they have now. CRwikiCA talk 17:00, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
At the moment, I wouldn't know a better place for those. – Editør (talk) 08:45, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I will move them as subsections of Supporters below Medalists. – Editør (talk) 08:59, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Medalists section should still be on top of the article, as stipulated in the WP:OLYMOSNAT. If you have concerns, please form a centralized discussion to deal with your situation. Raymarcbadz (talk) 14:14, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Would you know what the original discussion was to place it first? CRwikiCA talk 22:10, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Christiaan Bokkerink and Rianne de Vries

[edit]

According to the list Christiaan Bokkerink and Rianne de Vries were part of the short track speed skating men/women relay, but they did not compete during the games (probably reserves). Are they part of the 41 Dutch competers and should they be removed from the list? Sander.v.Ginkel (talk) 10:35, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There are several things to consider, because they were part of the team. Do the reserves get medals as well though? We would list all team members in team sports, even if they get no playing time. CRwikiCA talk 13:29, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reply. A reserve only receives a medal if he/she competed at least once during the games in that discipline. However, as you mentioned and according to the official website (see here) they were part of the Dutch team, so the should not be removed from the page. I took a look at other articles, and I will change it like the Track cycling team pursuit of Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics Sander.v.Ginkel (talk) 14:02, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, very well. CRwikiCA talk 20:07, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
