Why {{NPOV}}
[edit]This sound a lot like advertising for the company. Especially the competitors section is questionable, but the overall style sounds much the same.
- While NetSuite Competitors (http://biz.yahoo.com/ic/99/99285.html) may be listed as Microsoft Business Solutions, Salesforce.com and Siebel Systems On-Demand Software, there really is no other competitor in the business providing a totally integrated package the way that NetSuite Inc does it (http://www.inc.com/magazine/20050201/larrys-kids.html).
--S.K. 17:56, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- The article still has issues.
- The very way in which NetSuite pulls everything together for your business into the one platform could be seen to be a high risk -- what if the platform goes down, is attacked, or the company running the services is bankrupted?

Response
[edit]I accept that the original -- in the competitors section -- sounded a bit like advertising. However, I had a source that stated that and not me. So, what I have done it to quote the source as saying that and then providing additional information that balances the source's view.
I then also noted that 24SevenOffice place a minor edit that did not flow well in the article. So, I studied 24SevenOffice and provided a view of how 24SevenOffice and NetSuite are competitors in this space in quite a different way.
I am still working on the article on NetSuite Inc., to provide a more balanced view and to extend the information.
Am planning to extend the history of the formation of the company as there is some rather interesting political moves Larry Ellison made in forming NetSuite, SalesForce and now has introduced a range of products in Oracle that compete with his proteges as well. There is some major fact finding required here with some serious journalism required.
More Edits
[edit]More edits done to ensure the article is presented from a neutral point of view. Will work at it over the next few days to ensure that it is presented from a neutral perspective.
I welcome any suggestions as to how to make it much more 'encyclopedic'.
- Thanks for cleaning it up. Certainly more neutral now. I've removed the Localized Versions section, (because I'd consider this standard for any mature product these days) and cleaned up the External links. Regarding further directions, I'd look at articles for other software companies, take IBM, Microsoft, Oracle Corporation, or SAP Aktiengesellschaft as example. --S.K. 13:20, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
24SevenOffice
[edit]An employee of 24SevenOffice has used Wikipedia as a marketing tool to represent his company and product through Wikipedia. He has targetted competitor pages (such as this one) as well as technology pages. He's added complete sections just so he could include his company link and even influenced others simply to get his company marketted. The competitor section referring to his company has no place in this article. Additionally, a look at the user's contributions to Wikipedia show a clear intent to mass market his product using Wikipedia. - Sleepnomore 11:37, August 13, 2005 (UTC)
- I haven't added anything to this article. The section which you removed was contributed by the User:Andrewspencer. See his comment on this talk page above:

- The initial link, as you will see, was added by Sleepyhead. He then used sockpuppets as he often does to have the topic inflated. Please see the history of this article for reference. Two paragraphs about a competitors product do not belong on this page -- particularly when the item is not notable. Even if the section were modified by a sockpuppet, the information doesn't belong on wikipedia as 24SevenOffice is not notable. - Sleepnomore 16:30, August 13, 2005 (UTC)
- Yes I added an initial link (not there anymore). But the section you deleted was added by User:Andrewspencer. Wait for his response from him. Your accusation of sockpuppets are incorrect. --Sleepyhead81 16:53, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think my accusation is incorrect because the evidence speaks for itself: Instance 1, Instance 2, Instance 3 -- And that is on this issue alone. A look at your history shows that sockpuppets have been used as a pattern and practice. - Sleepnomore 16:58, August 13, 2005 (UTC)

- Again see [User_talk:Andrewspencer] where you asked for his assistance in bolstering the product. Also to repeat, it wouldn't matter if he did add it. A two paragraph analysis of an unknown product doesn't belong here. If you want to provide an analysis of 24SevenOffice as compared to NetSuite Inc, please do it on 24SevenOffice. I still argue the merrits of putting it there either. - Sleepnomore 14:48, August 14, 2005 (UTC)
- You have incorrectly stated that I added the section to market 24SevenOffice - which is a lie. Whether the section belongs in the article is another issue. I am not sure if it does. 24SevenOffice is far from as known as NetSuite. On the other hand I think there is only NetSuite and 24SevenOffice who have similar product offerings. I cannot think of any other web-based ERP system that are as extensive as NetSuite or 24SevenOffice. And that does make a comparision relevant, don't you think? --Sleepyhead81 14:59, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
- No, I don't think so at all. Again, if it does, it belongs on 24SevenOffice or perhaps all the way over at WikiCompany. Comparisons such as this belong in magazines, blogs, and forums. They do not belong on Wikepedia. - Sleepnomore 15:06, August 14, 2005 (UTC)

RFC
[edit]Since both editors who made 5+ reverts today commented on my talk page, I should mention that I have no particular expertise with the subject of this article. However, I have listed it on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Maths, natural science, and technology, in order that we can obtain further help in improving the accuracy of this article. Ojw 16:49, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- The disupte has been resolved. No need for RFC. --Sleepyhead81 15:20, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
This page is like an advertisement...
Evan Goldberg
[edit]Should this page link to the Evan Goldberg Wiki page? I think the NetSuite Evan Goldberg is different to the Superbad-writer Evan Goldberg.
Remove the "multiple issues" flag?
[edit]It appears these listed issues have been removed:
This article has multiple issues: It does not cite any references or sources. Please help improve this article by citing reliable sources. Tagged since July 2007. It reads like an advertisement and needs to be rewritten from a neutral point of view. Tagged since August 2007. It may be confusing or unclear for some readers. Tagged since August 2007.
Isn't it time to remove the above flags for this page?
Also, I see no company website listed in the page's info box. This should probably be added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gisring (talk • contribs) 17:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Customer satisfaction issues
[edit]Can I get an explanation why "Customer satisfaction issues" section was removed? Maybe it was better to rename it to "Criticisms" instead of removing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.79.44.4 (talk) 21:20, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Proposed merge with NetSuite OneWorld
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to merge NetSuite Oneworld into this article.
merge to main product DGG ( talk ) 00:47, 14 January 2014 (UTC) Agreed. Added a product section that addresses OneWorld. Suggest OneWorld be deleted. Bdog9 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 23:59, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
New Company Logo and Headquarters
[edit]Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. [See below] |
- Information to be added: New company logo should be added; Headquarters should be updated
- Explanation of issue: Inaccurate/out of date information needs to be changed on this page. Following the close of Oracle's acquisition of NetSuite, it appears the company has adopted a new logo. It is referenced both on its own website and in online media coverage of the company. Additionally, corporate headquarters is incorrectly listed as San Mateo, when headquarters is in Redwood Shores.
- References supporting changes:(http://www.netsuite.com/portal/home.shtml?noredirect=T); (https://www.pcmag.com/review/343051/netsuite-oneworld); (http://www.netsuite.com/portal/company/contactus.shtml)

[edit]Edit request partially implemented
- The headquarters was changed to Redwood Shores in both the infobox and the first sentence of the lead section.
- The logo needs to be uploaded to Wikipedia along with the appropriate licensing before it can be added to the article. The COI editor may use the File Upload Wizard to accomplish this.

Edits & New Logo
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi, I work with NetSuite/Oracle and need some help with the following edits.
- Can you update the logo with the new one the client added here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Oracle_NetSuite_2021.png
- Can you update Evan Goldberg’s title in the Infobox (it's already updated in the article) from SVP to EVP. These sources ([1],[2] and [3]) should work
- Can you update the headquarters to Austin,Texas, in the Infobox and lede, based on these sources ([4],https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-11/oracle-moves-headquarters-to-texas-joins-exodus-from-california,https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/11/oracle-is-moving-its-headquarters-from-silicon-valley-to-austin-texas.html
- In the Overview (and throughout), change language to present tense. NetSuite is still very much operational.
- In the lede, change “Oracle NetSuite Business Unit” to “Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit,” based on https://www.thewowfactorpodcast.com/show-notes/evan-goldberg-executive-vice-president-of-oracle-netsuite-global-business-unit-episode-91
- In History, change “company’s 1999 founding” to “company’s 1998 founding” to be in line with the rest of the article as as per https:https://cloudwars.co/oracle/how-evan-goldberg-larry-ellison-made-magic-netsuite-oracle/ and https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/364048
- Can you also move that sentence to the lede, as it provides a good overview of NetSuite?
- At the end of History, updated office locations: remove Las Vegas (no office there) and add Santa Monica, Redwood City and Durham, per https://www.netsuite.com/portal/company/contactus.shtml
Thank you,
--Camillefrancis (talk) 19:46, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- These seem pretty straightforward. I'll take a look. Was Las Vegas a mistake or did that office close? --FeldBum (talk) 21:06, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- All done, with some edits. I updated the list of locations to includes states, as per geographic naming conventions. --FeldBum (talk) 14:01, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
More Edits

Hey again,
Could you help me with a few more edits? See below
- In the opening paragraph
- Can you change the first line to “NetSuite is a modular suite of cloud-based business management applications.”
- Done with edits
- Can you change the second line to “Depending on the choice of modules, the platform can support accounting capabilities like general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, tax management, purchasing and inventory and order management, along with optional modules like customer relationship management (CRM), e-Commerce, human resources, payroll, professional services automation, warehouse management and supply chain management, that can be activated as needed.”
- Done with edits; I combined the existing copy with yours.
- After that, can you add “ Fixed asset management, revenue recognition, planning and budgeting and subscription billing are also available. Multi-entity and global accounting and consolidation functionality is available at additional cost via NetSuite’s OneWorld module, which supports 27 languages, and multiple currencies and tax codes.” instead of “NetSuite supports adding multiple companies with different currencies and reporting forms. NetSuite also supports local tax codes, including US, UK, Canada and EU countries.”
- Done with edits; as above, I combined the existing copy with yours.
- After the line ending “of the company,” can you add “The platform is accessed via the cloud and all data is centralized and stored in the cloud, allowing users to access data from different devices and countries.”
- The existing sources should work, but you can also use https://www.andersonfrank.com/insights/netsuite-products-services-explained and https://diginomica.com/netsuite-analytics-warehouse-where-rubber-hits-road-netsuite-customers-search-insights

Pre-configured role-based dashboards and key performance indicators allow users to monitor business performance. A data warehouse solution, NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, available at an additional cost, provides business intelligence capabilities.”

- @Camillefrancis: I did all of these (with edits), but I did them in the "Products, services and support" section, which made a lot more sense based on your request. Is that what you meant? --FeldBum (talk) 21:44, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- @FeldBum: Oh thank you! It’s okay that they are in the "Products, services and support” section. I’ll let you know if there are any other updates. --Camillefrancis
