Merging
[edit]I merged 'nepheline-syenite' with 'nepheline syenite' after noticing the hyphenated version on the list of igneous rocks. I also cleaned out a great deal of the bulk of the 1911 Brittannica stuff. There's a lot to do here also because since the last 100 years, petrology and geochemistry has advanced enough that a lot of these rocks are no longer recognised by the IUGS; alnoites for instance are also put under melilitic rocks, and certain other varietal names are no longer in use. ultrapotassic?
[edit]I don't think nepheline syenites are ultrapotassic...--134.2.43.123 (talk • contribs) 12:56, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- what's your opinion about nepheline pseudoleucite syenites? and what's your criteria for ultrapotassic rocks?--194.225.144.50 (talk • contribs) 07:58, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
In Pop Culture
[edit]since minerals don't normally have a pop reference, this was mentioned by Maude Pie in MLP:FiM s6e3, a popular children's show. 71.119.208.107 (talk) 06:58, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
