Reason for not running for reelection
[edit]Elliott was planning to run, and I was following it, as I intended to support him. Then, a health issue came up of such significance (heart problem?) that he chose to bow out, and Bill Frank, who was the MP for Middlesex (renamed Middlesex-London-Lambton by the time of the 1974 election) from 1972-74 and was defeated for reelection, stepped in to run in 1980.
