Little Italy

Didn't Little Italy like get split in half by The Eisenhower —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.12.177.218 (talk) 01:15, 2 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I am going to make some changes to the West Loop section, and add a new section for the Fulton River District neighborhood. I also explained in the West Loop section the West Loop Gate area and corrected some old street boundaries that have changed. Sblument 17:25, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV of "Neighborhoods" section

[edit]

Portions of this read like an advertisement. For instance: "Those coming for the full Italian-American experience should enjoy a visit to the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame (and nearby Joe DiMaggio plaza), a frozen lemonade from Mario's Italian Lemonade, a beef at Al's No. 1 Italian Beef, a visit to Conte di Savoia Italian grocer and deli, buy some pasta and cannoli at Scafuri's bakery, and stroll in Arrigo (Peanut) Park to see the statue of Columbus." and "The neighborhood is known for its plethora of excellent Greek restaurants, including the famous Parthenon, and its 24 hour foodspots." While I agree that many of the places listed bear cultural significance, the use words like "excellent," "famous," and "should" fundamentally opposes the purpose of Wikipedia.
