Entries removed during cleanup

[edit]

I am copying here some entries removed from the dab page, as it may be possible to reinstate them when suitable articles to link to have been found or written:

  • Nazir also means a warner in Quranic Arabic. Usually referred to the Prophets
  • Nazir - A superintendent of religious sanctuaries
    • comment: no link to any article
  • in Bengali, an officer, as in Nazir Deo: Lord Guardian, hereditary title borne by the commander-in-chief of the Army, held by a junior branch of the ruling family of Koch Bihar.
    • comment: not sure exactly what this is referring to. Suggest someone knowlegeable could write a new article Nazir (rank) (?) which could then be used in the Koch Bihar article and no doubt elsewhere.

update

[edit]

I've cleaned up most of the links to the dab page. Other than the ones I'm not sure of, those remaining mostly seem to refer to the last of the three items above. So there is a definite need for a new article. --NSH001 (talk) 19:02, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
