Orphaned references in Nazi persecution of the Catholic Church in Poland
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Nazi persecution of the Catholic Church in Poland's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "ushmm.org":
- From Catholic Church and Nazi Germany: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum: Poles: Victims of the Nazi Era
- From Persecutions of the Catholic Church and Pius XII: http://www.ushmm.org/education/resource/poles/poles.php?menu=/export/home/www/doc_root/education/foreducators/include/menu.txt&bgcolor=CD9544
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 08:52, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Started Copy Editing
[edit]I've started doing copy editing down to the section entitled 'Priests at Dachau Concentration Camp' Nearly all of these are minor changes in tense (from pluperfect to past) or changing positions of commas etc.
I also removed two sentences from the section 'Targeting of intelligentsia and clergy' as they were unrelated to the section and had no citations. These two sentences were :
150,000 to 180,000 civilians were killed in the suppression of an uprising, along with thousands of captured insurgents. Until the end of September 1944, Polish resistance fighters were not considered by Germany as combatants. Thus, when captured, they were executed. 165,000 surviving civilians were sent to labor camps, while 50,000 were shipped to concentration camps, and the city was systematically demolished.

[edit]This is in the plain text : [[File:MolotovRibbentropStalin.jpg|upright|thumb|Soviet Prime Minister Vyacheslav Molotov signs the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. Behind him stand (left) German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop and (right) Joseph Stalin. The Pact created a Nazi-Soviet alliance and sealed the fate of Poland.

REMOVE: "Hitler's biographer", which gives the false impression Hitler in some way approved of Kershaw or that Kershaw is distinguished in some way from other biographers. REMOVE: "Historically, the Catholic Church had been a leading force in Polish nationalism against foreign domination. Therefore, the Nazis targeted the clergy, monks, and nuns in their effort to eliminate Polish culture." Without attribution, it is just the editor's opinion.
