Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... This person will now head the Indian High Commission to Australia and India's PM Modi is giving a significant priority to Australia–India relations, as clear through his recent Australia visit. So, this person worth a watch for this assignment and it gives him a notable priority than any normal ambassador. --FromShahar (talk) 21:40, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- My thinking on this is that because WP:POLITICIAN says that ambassadorships don't automatically qualify, and that government cabinet-level officials don't automatically qualify, I really don't think the post makes the subject notable. But, considering some things that make other people notable maybe that guideline should be re-written. I don't contest the speedy's removal by an independent editor.
