Coordinates wrong

[edit]

Seems that all coordinates are wrong, pointing somewhere in Australia. 84.71.200.159 (talk) 17:50, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes came here to say that as well. The SeaBee Memorial is 24.802352, 141.319907. I am sure the source page had coordinates wrong and the source has since corrected it. Will correct if I find time later today if not give it a go by checking with traces of war source for corrections. Prmccoy (talk) 11:30, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CBs built everything including the mountain[#]

[edit]

Well, that's not true and it doesn't matter if there's a number next to it. Whatever's at the other end of the number is also inaccurate. Of course some of the base was reused from the Japanese works, even if it was just putting filing cabinets in some of the old tunnels. It's actually a disservice to all the work the Seabees did do to discredit them with such obvious nonsense.

More likely, what the source actually said was that all the work of constructing the US base was done by the Seabees (as opposed to other service outfits) not that the Americans razed the island and salted the ground before rebuilding everything. — LlywelynII 23:17, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't said what you think is wrong with the coordinates in the article. I've emended a bunch of incorrect coordinates in the "Post-war" section, but if you still think that anything is erroneous, you'll need to supply a clear explanation of what the error is.
