Canary
[edit]I owned and flew a restored N3N-3 for 20 years. Though I researched the type extensively, I can find no official US Navy document citing the N3N as the 'Canary.' Perhaps it was an unofficial name such as the generic "Yellow Peril" for all USN trainers or the affectionate "Yellow Bird." I'd welcome hard info on the Canary name.

N3N the aircraft v. N3N the company
[edit]Can we create a disambiguation page to distinguish this page for the aircraft from www.N3N.io, the company?

- Does Wikipedia have an article on that company? If not, there is nothing to disambiguate. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 23:08, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
- Is ambiguous from the point of view of a search engine user search for the company term and seeing the airplane wiki page in results. From the wiki page on disambiguation:
Primary topic when a disambiguation page lists only one existing article by that name[edit] Shortcuts: WP:ONLYONE WP:ONEBLUELINKDAB When a disambiguation pages lists only one existing article by that name (all other suggested articles are red-linked), the normal rules for determining the primary topic still apply. The existing article does not automatically become the primary topic. So: If the article with the blue link is chosen to be the primary topic, it becomes the primary article. The disambiguation page is then moved to a page carrying the (disambiguation) qualifier. On the rare occasions that a red-linked article is preferred to be the primary topic, the disambiguation page will still occupy the primary position as long as the red-linked article has not been written. If no article is preferred to be the primary topic, then the disambiguation page will remain the primary landing page.

- Per WP:DABRED, "Do not create red links to articles that are unlikely ever to be written, or are likely to be removed as insufficiently notable topics." The initial Ghits I've found for the company are its own websites, so it appears be insufficiently notable. - BilCat (talk) 12:13, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
