Summerhill?

[edit]

The lead section now says "The school, Whyteleafe, bears a striking resemblance to the independent Suffolk boarding school, Summerhill." This is not expanded on in the body, nor is any source cited. I haven't read these books (although I have ready other works by Blyton), but nothing is mentioned in the articles about the individual books that seems to support this. The plots mention students holding such positions as "Head Girl", "Head Boy", and "Monitor", which were not, as I understand it a feature of Summerhill at the time the books were written (nor later). The covers pictured seem to show children in school uniforms, also not a feature of Summerhill. Nothing in any of the articles seems to suggest such a resemblance. Perhaps there is one, but if so its nature is not made clear in this or any of the linked articles. This should be cited, or expanded on, or removed. DES (talk) 20:35, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
