Ebola reservoir
[edit]Zabb17 (talk) 04:53, 8 December 2017 (UTC) I found your page to be very interesting. The information was very well organized and easy to read. Only suggestion I have is maybe adding more examples of viruses that are spread by droplet, contact, etc. Overall, I like that you added a picture of bushmeat in Africa. It gives a good example of disease transmission. You could also mention that in your wikipedia page. Maybe do a little comparison between different regions of how disease are spread. Thank you for your suggestions Zabb 17. I find the image relevant to the topic, however, I can not take credit for the image (it was uploaded by a previous editor). Ciarology (talk) 15:09, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
I had read that the ebola reservoir was no longer unknown and had been identfied as fruitbats.
'Competent' reservoir
[edit]The article White-footed mouse says "It has also been found to be a competent reservoir for the Lyme disease-causing spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi." (Italics are mine.) What is specific about the reservoir host being competent? Are there other kinds of reservoirs for pathogens? RJFJR (talk) 13:51, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
Ebola coatrack, fork, whatever
[edit]Much of this article is a WP:COATRACK or arguably a WP:FORK for a somewhat piecemeal, dated, account not up to WP:MEDRS of whether there are (or were) reservoirs for Ebola virus, somewhat contradicted by the rather better account at Ebola virus disease#Reservoir. I think we'll be better off without it, so I'm axing most of it now. Chiswick Chap (talk) 20:12, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
Uncaptioned photo?
[edit]Why is there a photo of a bat with no caption or explanation? --Muzilon (talk) 06:47, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
