This article is written in American English, which has its own spelling conventions (color, defense, traveled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
"OSTP's continuing mission is set out in the National Science and Technology Policy, Organization, and Priorities Act of 1976 (Public Law 94-282)." This is what the official website says, but the article says this Council was established by Executive Order. There is a template in the article asking for secondary rather than primary sources, but I think we can rely on a US Government website for the fact that this Council was established by the statute cited. The original "Structure" section in this article included a bunch of information that did not really belong under that heading (e.g. funding, member agencies, etc.). Therefore, I separated the "Structure" section based on the information it contained into component sections of: Membership, Committees, Funding, and Member Agencies.
