Pics in table

[edit]

Does anybody care if I add the pictures into the tables, like at List of World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horses? It would make the page neater, and make it easier to see which pics we have abd which we don't. White Arabian Filly Neigh 23:41, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I thought about doing that very thing when I was adding the years. I'm afraid there'll be a lot missing though. Jlvsclrk (talk) 02:53, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Even if there are a lot missing, maybe it'll inspire more uploads. I'll get to it, then, although it might take a while. White Arabian Filly Neigh 00:03, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'll work on it too. Hope I don't get in your way! (LMK to stop if I am) Jlvsclrk (talk) 00:56, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think we've got them all, but I'm not sure why the table is off. My phone battery is dead, so I'll try to fix it tomorrow. White Arabian Filly Neigh 01:02, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jockeys and trainers active when inducted in the hall of fame

[edit]

Examples are Russell Baze in 1999 and Bob Baffert in 2009.

Jockey section

"To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, a jockey must be licensed for 20 years or have been retired for at least five years."

Trainer section

"To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, a trainer must be licensed for 20 years or have been retired for at least five years."

Were those rules made in 2010 because the only changes mentioned in 2010 was voting multiple times is the same category being allowed? Mobile mundo (talk) 00:53, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    • Hmmm, good question. The current wording actually needs rephrasing, because the "or have been retired" is a special exception that mainly applies to jockeys whose career was cut short due to injury. (Ramon Dominguez being a recent example). I'll try to find an article talking about when the rules changed. I did a quick search at the Bloodhorse and at the beginning of the 2000s, jockeys had to be active for 15 years - now its 20. The trainer rule has been 25 years as a head trainer since at least 2001. FYI, most contemporary Hall of Fame nominations are for active jockeys and trainers, often in their first year of eligibility. Jlvsclrk (talk) 01:23, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Error

[edit]

Starts/Wins in table don't match with article. Exterminator hat 100 starts in table but 99 in article. Same for other horses.
