1981 Strike Forced Playoffs added

[edit]

I have added the 1981 strike forced divisional playoff to the NLDS and ALDS pages. I believe that the facts are correct. NoseNuggets 1:40 US EDT Oct 4 2005.

The season does not end today

[edit]

I edited the "If 2006 ended today" section, but I really think it should be deleted because its pointless and unless someone edits it EVERY DAY, its not accurate. 74.131.73.216 03:29, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I removed it from this article and from the American League Division Series (Talk:American League Division Series). -- Win777 01:01, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

please elaborate on scheduling conflicts

[edit]

I find this remark:

"When MLB added a second wild card team in 2012, the Division Series re-adopted the 2-3 format due to scheduling conflicts. It will revert to the 2-2-1 format from 2013 onwards."

What scheduling conflicts? There is the unrelated case of the Baltimore Ravens not being able to have that Thursday opening NFL game at home in the 2013 season, because of a conflict (common parking areas) with the already-scheduled Baltimore Orioles' game.

The question also affects the ALDS page.

The regular-season and post-season schedules had already been set before an agreement was reached to add an additional wild-card team and a one-game playoff. Thus MLB had to figure out a way to fit in the additional playoff game, which it chose to do by eliminating a travel day from the division series (see [1]). isaacl (talk) 18:18, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in National League Division Series

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of National League Division Series's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 08:41, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
